It is necessary for sitting and getting up on a chair etc.

17. Advantages and Disadvantages of Knock Out Tournament?

a) Publicity Committee: After the competition, informs the organizing committee about the expenditure on publicity and sends reports to the media.

b) Purchase Committee: Provides information about the cost of equipment and items to the organizing committee.

c) Financial Committee: To prepare an account of the total income expenditure in the competition and review it from the budget.

d) Sports Ground and Equipment Committee: After the competition, all the equipment used will be made available to the Management Committee and if there is any damage on the field, then it is also the responsibility of this committee to get it corrected.

e) First Aid Committee: To give all the information and information related to first aid to the organization committee.

f) Prize Distribution Committee: Together with the decoration and ceremony committee, giving all the information and the same to the organizing committee.

18. What is the meaning of diabetes and write the method of an asana to control diabetes.

Ans. Diabetes: It increased the level of sugar in the blood of our body. A hormone called insulin is used to control the level of sugar in the blood.

It is a dangerous disease. If not controlled, there is a risk of kidney failure, loss of eyesight and heart vascular diseases.

An important cause of diabetes is people’s abandonment of exercise and walking from their lifestyle.

Common symptoms of diabetes are fatigue, frequent urination, numbness in hands and feet, blurred vision, excessive body weight, and non-healing of wounds.

By doing Bhujangasana, Paschimottanasana, Pawanmuktasana and Ardhmatsyendrasana regularly, one can get rid of this diabetes.

Example: Bhujangasana – method

a) Pre-position – Lie straight on the ground on your stomach

b) Bring both the legs together and stretch the back as much as possible

c) Bend the elbows of both the hands and keep them under the shoulders, the fingers facing outwards together

d) While inhaling slowly raise the chest part up to the navel. Pull the ends and neck up as well.

While exhaling, come back to the previous position.

20. Write an aerobic endurance test for senior citizens?

Ans. Aerobic endurance for senior citizens

Objective: To assess the aerobic endurance required for covering distances, climbing and descending stairs, shopping and tourism etc.

Equipment needed: Flat ground (20×5) yards), measuring tape and stopwatch.

Procedure: To walk the distance or route i.e., 45- 12 m or marked in a rectangular area of 50 yards in which signs are placed at regular intervals to show the distance covered. Then the candidate is asked to cover the maximum distance in a period of 6 minutes as soon as possible. The participant is provided an opportunity to practice. The participant can stop at any time he wants. The distance covered is considered the score of the examinee.

21. What are the female player triads? Describe any two.

Ans. Ans. Women player’s triad: There are diseases occurring in women players. Vaginal impotence, amenorrhea and eating disorders are a serious disease with serious and life-threatening health consequences for a long time, three interrelated conditions in this group of diseases.

a) Amenorrhea: Women of reproductive age do not have menstruation or do not start menstruation sometimes for several months, is called amenorrhea. The main reason for this is high intensity exercise and taking low calorie food according to the physical needs. For this reason, irregularities in the menstrual cycle of women or sometimes they stop.

b) This is due to the following reasons: Due to diet, changes in hormones, due to high blood pressure and due to more training and competition.

c) Eating disorders: When a person starts eating more or less amount of food than usual, then it is called eating disorder. These are a type of mental illness. It is of two types – Anorexia nervosa – lack of apetite and bulimia – excessive appetite.

a) Absence of Seasonality: This disorder occurs due to various conditions in the body like unbalanced diet, high level of training, high anxiety, frequent medicine intake.

b) Abnormal menstrual symptoms: In many girls, these symptoms such as pain, burning in the waist, chest

c) Prolonged secondary menstruation: Due to the cessation of menstruation, in women for a long time secondary menstruation, menstrual discharge increases, due to which there is a deficiency of elements in the body.

d) Ritudarshan or Rajadarshan: Due to cessation of the seasons, Ritudarshan or the first Rajadarshan also comes late.

22. Describe any six benefits of physical activity for children with special needs or disabilities.

Ans. Following are the benefits physical activities for children with special needs or disabilities.

a) Physical Improvement: Improves concentration and flexibility, improves strength and endurance. Improves cardiovascular health, decreased chances of suffering from obesity, stronger and thicker bones, improves physical fitness and improves functioning of the nervous system.

b) Health: there is an increase in the level of health of the handicapped and the possibility of getting disorder decreases.

c) Work Efficiency: Participation in physical activities

d) Mental Improvement: Mood and well-being improves, depression of anxiety level decrease

e) Self-esteem: Participation in physical activities increases the self-confidence and sense of self-esteem of the disabled.

f) Personality: All aspects of the personality of the handicapped get enhanced.

g) Social Benefits: New friends are made, new experiences are gained, freedom is felt and avoidance of blame etc.

23. Write the symptom, causes and remedial measures for colliding knees.

Knees colliding due to: obesity, malnutrition, vitamin D deficiency, disease called rickets, driving of premature babies.

Corrective Remedies: Horse riding and doing Padmasana, standing with a pillow between the knees, using walking calipers, lifting the leg by keeping it straight, keeping a towel under the knee and keeping the leg straight and pressing the pillow down from the knees.

24. What do you understand by asthma and tell the method of any one asana by which asthma can be prevented?

Ans. Asthma: A disease related to the respiratory tract, the inner wall of these tubes becomes inflamed which makes the tubes very sensitive and it reacts sharply to the touch of anything affecting it. This reaction causes a narrowing of the ducts, which reduces the amount of air in the lings, making it difficult for the person with the disease to breathe.

Reason: Dust, smoke, air pollution, heredity, pollen grains, animal skin, hair or feathers are the main reasons for this.

Asthma can be controlled with Sukhasana, Gomukhasana, Parvatasana, Chakrasana, Bhujangasana, Paschimottanasana and Matsyasana.

Example: sukhasana – method

a) Preposition: Sit straight with both feet in front

b) In general, sitting is Sukhasana.

c) Bend the left leg and place it under the thigh of the right leg

d) Bend the right leg and place it under the shin of the left leg.

e) Keep the head and neck and waist straight

f) Keep both hands in Gyan Mudra or Ajjali Mudra

g) It can be used to sit for long periods of time while meditating.

h) You can also sit by changing legs.

25. Write the procedure of arm bend test?

Ans. The Rikli and Jones arm flexion test is used to measure upper body strength.

Equipment Required: A weight of 5 pounds for women and 8 pounds for men, armless chair, pause clock

Process:

a) This test consists of turning the arm maximum number of times during a period of 30 seconds.

b) The arm bend test is done with a strong, powerful arm.

c) The upper arm should remain stationary, while the participant sits in the chair and holds the weight in one hand with the lower one (a suitcase-like grip). While the lower part of the arm should move freely.

d) While completing the action by folding the arm, move it up so that the palm slowly rises upwards.

e) When the arm is raised to its full limit, the participant should slowly return to the starting position.

f) The arm should be completely bent before the elbow, should then be straightened

g) The participant’s score is the number of times the participant turns the side during the 30 second period.

26. What is a balanced diet? Describe any two macro nutrients of the diet.

Ans. Balanced Diet: Simply put, a balanced diet is such a diet, in which all the necessary elements for the person’s body are found in proper quantity.

According to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, a balanced diet is a diet that includes essential elements for the growth, development and health protection of the body, which are found in a balanced quantity and quality.

Macro Nutrients of Diet: – Macro: Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins and Water.

A) Carbohydrates: The most important part of our diet. It is the source of energy for all bodily functions. Carbohydrates taken in excess amount are converted by the body into fat and glycogen and stored, which can be utilized by the body in the due course of time.

a) For example: All types of cereals, carrots, art, sugarcane, pulses, potatoes, honey and sweet, fruits etc.

B) Fat: Of all the nutrients present in our food, it is the most energy-providing nutrient. One gram of fat provides about 9.1 calories of energy. It helps in utilization of vitamins A, D, E and K as well as makes the body shapely and beautiful.

a) For example: Milk and milk products, ghee, vegetable oil, dry meat, etc.

C) Protein: Helps in body building. Especially useful for old age children and sportsmen. It is used in the repair work of cells and tissues.

a) For example, milk and milk products, soybean, all types of pulses, gram cereals, groundnut, sesame, almond, all fibrous fruits and vegetables like papaya, mango, jackfruit etc.

27. What do you understand by specific sports activities and explain any four.

Ans. Special Sports Program: The purpose of programs apart from sports competition is to bring unit in the society, health and prevention of diseases, awareness about health and diseases and to save money for religious institutions.

The following is the specific sports program

a) Sports Day: Every year sports is organized by many schools for the all-round development of the children. Special performances such as dumbbells, mass PT legium, pyramids, aerobics, dance and singing and yoga asanas are also performed by the students in the sports day celebrations, and there is an opportunity to select excellent players for future competitions.

b) Health run: These races are organized by the health department, sports department or social organizations. The basic objective of which is to increase the level of health in the nation. There is no age limit in this, but some health-related precautions are taken. The method and time for these races are decided long in advance, for which the runner or competitor has to register in advance.

c) Run for Fun: Organized with an aim to spread the message of health and being fit with health potential to as many people as possible. One of its purposes is to raise funds for charity.

d) Run for specific reasons: The race which is related to noble and generous causes, its purpose is also to earn funds for specific work, it is often organized by social organizations. To make the race more attractive, it is tried to be attended by well-known sportspersons, actors and celebrities.

Describe the micronutrients of food necessary for our body?

Ans. There are two types of micronutrients in food: vitamins and minerals

Micronutrients in food are: Vitamins

a) Vitamin A: Also called retinol. It is very important for the growth and development of the body. Especially for the eyes.

b) Vitamin B: It includes 6 vitamins of the B group which is essential for general health.

c) Vitamin C: It enhances the immunity of the body and it is necessary for the repair and development of body tendons and ligaments.

d) Vitamin D: It is helpful in making all the bones of the body and in their growth and development.

Micronutrients in food are: Minerals

a) Iron: It is necessary for the formation of hemoglobin present in the blood

b) Calcium: Helps in the formation of bones and teeth

c) Phosphorous: Strengthens teeth and also strengthens bones.

d) Iodine: Iodine is very important, due to its deficiency, there is a possibility of goiter disease

e) Fluoride: Helps in building and strengthening nails and teeth.

28. What do you understand by obesity or grossness and to avoid it, explain any two asanas in detail.

Ans. Obesity: this is a condition of the body in which the amount of fat in the body increases to a very high level. In other words, it can be said like this, “The condition when a person has 20% or more of the ideal weight.

These two main reasons for obesity are our bad eating habits and the deterioration of the digestive system, the physical exertion in the life of such a person is negligible. There are many reasons for obesity such as overeating, hard working life, thyroid, hereditary.

Following are two asanas to remove obesity.

Bajrasana: Method

a) Pre-position: Sit with both the legs straight in front of you.

b) Bend the right leg from the knee and place it under the right buttock.

c) Bend the left leg from the knee and place it under the left buttock

d) Keeping the room, neck and head straight, with the toes of both the feet open, the heel is open  and the lower part of the food should be on the ground.

e) Keep both the hands on the thighs and look in front.

Bajrasana: Benefits

a) This asana is a meditative posture

b) It can also be done after meals; it has an effect on the digestive system.

c) Food gets digested quickly

d) It is also good for the calf and thighs.

Trikonasana: Method

a) Pre-position: Stand straight with both feet together.

b) Take a gap of 3 to 4 feet between both the feet.

c) While inhaling, straighten the left hand by touching the ear.

d) While exhaling, bend to the right, touch the toe with the right hand.

e) While inhaling, strengthen your arms and bend to the left.

Trikonasana: Benefits

a) The waist and the bitten area are flexible.

b) Unnecessary fat decreases

c) Hands, shoulders, thighs etc. are powerful.

29. Describe the chair seat and reach test procedure.

Ans. Chair Seat and Reach Test: To assess the flexibility of the lower body of senior citizens for correct posture or posture for normal gait and various mobility tasks such as sitting in a car, or tying a shoelace.

Material Required: Scale A 44 cm Chair (Straight Back). For the procedure, the chair is placed against the wall so that the participant can sit comfortably on the edge.

a) Keep one leg flat on the floor and the other leg straight in front of the knee

b) The feet and ankles should be bent 90 degrees.

c) Keeping the upper ends of the middle finger of both the hands equal, place one hand on the other hand.

d) The participants while inhaling will ask both the hands to be in the normal position and while exhaling, bend the body at the hips and move the hand towards the toes of the feet back straight and head up.

e) Avoid the knee straight and hold for 2 seconds at the time of reach

f) Keep the knee straight and hold for 2 seconds at the time of reach.

g) Measure the distance between the toes and the fingers. If the toes of the foot touch, the score is zero and whatever the distance is, it is measured.

30. Explain any five strategies for assessing physical function for children with special needs.

Ans. The following are strategies for determining physical functions for children with special needs.

a) Medical examination: Before participating in physical activities, physical examination of the handicapped should be done and the level of disability should be checked so that physical activities can be done accordingly.

b) Prior experience: Before determining the physical activities, information about the past experience, the disabled should be taken so that the best selection of physical activities can be done for them.

c) Ability; While determining the physical activities, the physical and mental ability of the handicapped should be understood so that physical activities can be selected according to his ability.

d) Interest: When determining the physical activities, special care should be taken of the interest of the handicapped so that he can participate fully in these physical activities.

e) Suitable environment: While determining the physical activities, whether the environment is in accordance with those activities or not, because the environment should have all the facilities related to the activities.

f) Extra care: Before determining the physical activities, all the factors that prevent accident must be reviewed.
